Author Description

The Aeta are a tribal group of indigenous people of the Philippines living on the slopes of Mt. Pinatubo. For centuries they have maintained contacts with their agricultural neighbors in the lowlands, but how they managed to preserve their traditions while retaining numerous basic elements of a hunter-gatherer culture, is the focus of this book.
