Plant breeding is an important branch of agriculture, in which development of new hybrid varieties for increasing yield, quality, resistance against several diseases, insects and other parasitic weeds, Keeping in mind, the importance of seeds, “Fundamentals of Plant Breeding Practical Manual” is published to provide the general information about different seed testing seed production techniques. The practical manual has been written in simple and lucid language under Indian context. I am thankful to my school mates Dr. Anshuman Singh, Scientist in Genetics & Plant Breeding (AICRIP Chickpea) and Dr. Manoj Kumar Singh, Teaching Associate in Genetics & Plant Breeding at Rani Laxmi Bai Central Agricultural University, Jhansi, U.P., India.
