Author Description

The author graduated from high school in 1985. This book contains some of his thoughts for the upcoming 40th high school anniversary. He discusses social and historical issues from the 1970s and 1980s, some of which are controversial such as criticism of feminism and transvestitism. Other topics are local and national historical events related to the city, state and era of his school days in Southern California. Family life, transgender issues and the importance of understanding history are briefly discussed using children's stories such as The Sneetches and the Wizard of Oz. Some lengthy discussion revolves around Karl Marx, Theodore Roosevelt, and Andrew Carnegie. And the narrator's grandmother.
