The Swedish Lie is the story of four generations of a Swedish-American family whose secrets and deceptions stem from Jante's Law, a cultural admonition against self-promotion and ambition. Henny is the fourth generation of that family, an artist who finds truth in her paintings and in the journals that started it all.
