Ultimately, this quote implies that trauma, although distressing at the time, can endow an opportunity to develop the inner self. Over the course of this book, readers will have the chance to come face-to-face with the experience of ten breast cancer survivor?s journey from diagnoses to an enhanced quality of life; a phenomenon now known as posttraumatic growth (PTG). Through changes of perspectives, reuniting with their body and engaging in physical activity, these women transformed their traumatic situation into a positive one; growing physically, mentally and emotionally from breast cancer.
