New approaches to basic research, and the success of various chemotherapies for cancer of the aerodigestive tract, are among the topics of the 20 papers, from a February 1991 conference in Houston. Risk factors such as alcohol, smokeless tobacco, and asbestos, are considered, as are possible methods of prevention suggested by current chemotherapy, and epidemiological studies of vitamin A intake.
