
e-learning in adult education has been 'over-discussed but under-researched'. This high-level summary and review of current research, worldwide, into Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) addresses this shortfall by examining CALL for ESOL learners in the UK (where there has been little academic research into its relevance) in the global context of language learning.
