Proceedings of the August 1995 symposium. Thirty-five articles are divided into four sections: cosmetics, sweeteners, herbs, and non- alcoholic beverages; regulatory effects on crops, viruses, microorganisms, weeds and insects; chemical identification using NMR and MS; and nutritional aspects. Topics include biological activity against insects; structural determinations; applications in foods and cosmetics; intensely sweet saponin osladin; phytotoxicity on weed and crop plants; regulatory effects in the pathogenesis of root rots in cereal crops; and impacts on animal production.
