Pewter Wings, Golden Horns, Stone Veils, John Hejduk's newest work, is an architectural journey/novel traversing a mental/physical landscape of architectural sites, churches, chapels, and cathedrals. This landscape was developed out of the influence of Spain on the architect. Framed in seven chapters - Crossings, Sites, Rituals, Wedding in a Dark Plum Room, Sacraments, Testaments, and Journeys - the book is scripted with watercolors, ink drawings, and texts. The narrative unfolds between framed views, reading space, drawings, and texts that have formed a solid.
