<p>In THE SCARECROW AND THE CROW, a young scarecrow seeks to learn what the world is like beyond the tall</p><p>mountains surrounding the wheat field which he is guarding against crows. Since his feet are stuck in the ground</p><p>and he is therefore unable to travel and find out for himself, he asks a crow whom he befriends to tell him what the</p><p>world is like. There is a surprise ending when the crow returns from a long winter journey and tells the scarecrow</p><p>what she has learned about the world.</p>
