Author Description

In Dawn Blossoms Plucked at Dusk written by Lu Xun, Lu Xun describes his childhood life and his youth learning experience, recalling the most memorable people and things to express nostalgia of old friends and teachers. In between narration and comment, Lu Xun attacks and mocks the counter-reactionary and conservative forces. The first article titled ""Dog·Cat·Mouse"" results from attacks by the ""upright gentlemen"", and the author ridicules ""gossip"" that those gentlemen spread. He expresses his hatred toward cats characters of ""torturing"" the weak, ""howling everywhere"" and once in a while ""showing his obsequiousness"".
