This text provides in one volume various elements used in teaching labor relations and collective bargaining: readings, cases, and bargaining simulations. The 32 readings are organized into six subject areas necessary for a basic understanding of labor management relations. Each section of readings is preceded by an introduction that provides an overview of the topic area and a synopsis of the material to follow. This text also includes 38 relatively short cases, 18 of which are based on NLRB decisions and 20 on arbitrators' decisions. Finally, the book contains two collective bargaining simulations. One is designed to be completed in one class period, and the other is meant to serve as the basis for a longer, more rigorous examination of the collective bargaining process.
