
Computer networks give us a way to work more closely with each other, providing the means by which we communicate and coordinate our activities. They connect us with the people down the hall, across the campus, on the other side of the continent, and around the globe. In many respects, their impact on our daily lives can be compared with other types of communication- the telephone, radio, and TV.
