Four children go on a magical adventure to the roots and flowers in the botanic gardens. They are transformed to a small size and meet a root called Rigaragarora. The children magically change size and explore the gardens and learn about the marvelous workings of the plants. They meet an old gardner called Gnarled Oak who is planting a peculiar looking plant. 'Hello children, would you like to be meeting with Rigaragarora', he said to the children. 'Who is Rigaragarora' the children ask. Each of the children are given new names and when they call out their new name, they are sucked into the flower one by one. Time stops for everyone else including their parents. When it is time to go back to their own size they wave goodbye to Gnarled Oak and Rigaragarora as they whizz off to plant another flower in Glasgow.
