Author Description

About the Author Randy Knight has taught at Ohio State University and is currently on the faculty of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He has 16 year of front-line experience with the challenges and opportunities of teaching to large classes of predominantly engineering students, and his book is aimed at this audience.In addition to his love for physics, Randy has a keen interest in music and is currently taking piano lessons. He believes that staying on the student side of the fence keeps him humble by reminding him how new challenges appear from a student's perspective. He is also an environmental activist and likes to spend his free time (on the rare occasions when authors have any!) hiking and kayaking. He is married and has three cats.
