Beat Down: Fists of Vengeance takes place in the city of Los Sombras where five members of the mafia seek revenge against their enemies, the rest of their brothers who ambushed them in a dark warehouse. They manage to survive but now have both the mafia and paid-off cops after them. The Beat Down begins as these hunted fighters facing a tough situation with barely any supplies and even fewer friends. The only way out is to dominate the streets and take down the very same mafia that sold them out. Players take on the role of one of the five fugitives, consisting of three men and two women, and fight their way to the end of the game. The fugitives can change their appearance with clothing or plastic surgery, recruit new allies and earn money to survive the dangerous underworld.
