Featuring a huge range and eclectic mix of aircraft types including virtually all those that were operated by the RAF from the end of World War 2 until the end of the 1970s, when the RAF was tasked with policing and covering areas such as Aden, Bahrain, Cyprus, Egypt, Iraq, Israel, Kenya, Lebanon, Libya, Palestine and Syria. Running from the age of propeller-driven aircraft through to the jet age, and heralding the increasing use of helicopters, the book not only illustrates the changes in camouflage and markings policies of RAF aircraft during this time, but the reasons why the British were there.
