
Abstract: Counting calories with the aim of improving one's health is the thrust of this 28-day menu booklet compiled by registered dietitians. Including an introduction on the nature of calories and a guide to estimate their needs, menus are presented in a Plan A/B format: 1200 calories vs. 1600 calories/day. Each day, highlighted by a special recipe, also includes a behavior modification technique, a portion chart, hints for higher nutrient density intake, exercise tips, eating out and entertaining.
