Sexual assault is a crime that is incompatible with military service and has no place in the Department of Defense (DOD). Considerable efforts are now underway to combat assault, but there is still much work to do. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel directed the DOD Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office to partner with the Services and other DOD components to review and update the DOD Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Strategy. Significant collaboration and effort took place to produce this comprehensive strategy, which was developed to address the complex nature of the issue and better synchronize Department-wide efforts. This plan provides authoriative guidance to all stakeholders and defines DOD priorities, objectives, and initiatives. Figures. This is a print on demand report.
