In the spring of 2009 James returned for his second semester of college courses in New York City at the School of Visual Arts. A 'Drawing Workshop II' class taught by Steve Defrock and a 'Silkscreen Printmaking' class taught by Peter Hristoff both helped James mix his line and color process together. "Steve's class was always filled with joyful bliss and every creative moment I spent under his wings gave me a freedom to explore my line in a way that I had never before. This made the silk screening process fun as took my ideas from the computer into the silkscreen lab to color to them. It was so much fun!" - JCMjr. This collection of silk-screens, line drawings, interlaced with James' poems and King James Bible verses document his works on paper created during the spring of 2009. This collection pledged to that part of James' life where his artist voice found a liberty to fully be an artist beyond the demands of civilized industrial world that place a citizen under the rule of a governments social and economic system of production for profit. - Colvin James
