
Services computing looks to develop service-oriented IT solutions that help people perform business processes more efficiently and effectively. It is a new and exciting cross-disciplinary research area with many scientific and practical challenges. Services computing helps shape the future practices of business modeling, business consulting, solution creation, service delivery, and software architecture design, development, and deployment.The goals of SCC 2007 are to propose and validate solutions for bridging gaps in the services landscape, leveraging recent developments in such areas as Web services, service-oriented architecture (SOA), business strategy and design, business process integration and performance management, and utility/grid computing.
