The second annual issue of ESCAP’s Technical Cooperation Yearbook focuses on two challenges that have come to the fore in 2005: Understanding the degree of progress of countries in the Asia-Pacific region in meeting the Millennium Development Goals, and preparing better for challenges caused by natural disasters, which can set back all areas of development.
