Claude Monet was struggling when he settled in the Parisian suburb of Giverny. But as his work sold, he grew comfortably wealthy. Monet invested much money (and forty years) in his fabulous gardens. Elizabeth Murray helped to restore the neglected gardens in the 1980s; she returns each year to capture their beauty in superb photographs.
