The ancient and enduring spirit of the Jewish tradition comes alive in the Hebrew Illuminations of artist Adam Rhine. Rhine has created ornate, highly detailed Judaica paintings in watercolor and acrylic. His style is heavily influenced by medieval illuminated manuscripts which he combines with modern palettes and aesthetics. These commandments to the Jewish people were taught by Moses as the "Oral Law," which was eventually recorded in the 63 books of the Talmud. At the end of his 120 years, Moses wrote the first Sefer Torah (Torah scroll) as told to him, word for word by the Lord, known today as the "Five Books of Moses."
