It is well recognised that company law is a vast subject, with a number of complex, interlocking themes running through it. Added to its length in recent years has been the work of the Law Commission on reforming shareholder remedies and directors' duties, as well as the wide-ranging review of core company law conducted by the Department of Trade and Industry.
