About the Author Norbert Rosing lives in Germany, but since 1988, he has been a frequent visitor to the coastal region of Hudson Bay near Churchill, Manitoba. As well as photographing polar bears and the Arctic, he is a dedicated photographer of African wildlife, old-growth forests and the national parks of eastern Germany. He has received numerous awards for his work and is a frequent contributor to magazines and author of several books, including "The World of the Polar Bear" (Firefly Books 1996) and "Yellowstone" (Firefly Books 1998). His work was featured in the December 2000 issue of National Geographic.
