The International Court of Justice is the principal judicial organ of the United Nations, and is based at The Hague. This is the 55th in the series of yearbooks which provides general information concerning its organisation, jurisdiction, activities and administration for the period from 1 August 2000 to 31 July 2001. The yearbook is prepared by the Registry and does not involve the responsibility of the Court.
