Tony Bevan (b.1951) is a British painter whose work has achieved widespread international recognition and acclaim. This is the first major monograph to be published in English on Bevan's work and covers both his paintings and his works on paper. It reproduces over 180 works from Bevan's entire career: from the early single-figure paintings of the 1970s, through the more psychological portraiture of the 1980s and 1990s, to the series of Head paintings and paintings of open interiors produced from the late 1990s.
