Concrete Design is currently moving from government under British standards government to government under new European codes. At the moment these codes are in published draft form and most universities are still using British codes for teaching purposes. In 1997/8 the new finalised code will be published and all universities will have to have moved over to teaching concrete design and structural elements according to the European standard.
