This is a childrenas book about a boy named Jesse Harrison who always wanted a pet. When his ninth birthday comes along, he gets his wish. On the night of his birthday after his party guests leave, he is swinging out in his backyard when a black stray cat comes along, and Jesse keeps him. His mother isnat too comfortable with the situation. Little does Jesse know that his cat is about to become something extraordinary when it is possessed by a creature from another planet and turns Jesseas life upside down, becoming his best friend. But their friendship is about to be conflicted when an evil creature from Midnightas planet falls to Earth and is in the possession of a fox named Reynard. Reynard will stop at nothing to come between Jesse and Midnightas bond of friendship, and itas up to the two of them to stick together and fight before Reynard gets the last laugh.
