The Family Homes and Domestic Violence Act 1995 should receive Royal Assent at the end of 1995, and is expected to be a major piece of complex legislation, reforming this area of the law. It will reform discretionary remedies previously available to protect a family member against molestation or violence by another, and governing occupation of the family home where the relationship has broken down.
