Excerpt from Report to the Stockholders: Mad River Lake Erie Railroad Company, Condition of Their Road, February 1, 1854<br><br>An appeal was made to the Bond-holders for relief and, we are happy to state that they generously responded to the dell. A conces sion of interest was agreed upon, running through a period of four years, securing to the Company an available amount of about dollars.
