As the eldest son of the German automobile designer Gottlieb Daimler, Paul Daimler joined his father's company at the end of the 19th century. There he set a monument for himself with his vehicle and engine designs: between 1907 and 1914 he developed 16 different engine types, including his particularly important compressor engines. In this unique volume, Harry Niemann illuminates the life and work of Paul Daimler, the pioneer of a technology that can still be found in automobiles to this day. The biography is illustrated with over 200 images, including images from the archives of Daimler AG.
