This volume focuses on four distinct periods of Cragg's development - his early use of found and natural elements in assemblage and stacked sculptures; the figurative shapes assembled from found plastic fragments; the works involving large-scale found plastic fragment and wood wall assemblages, wood and stone house-shaped constructions and assembled wood-object floor works; and the works including vessels in cast bronze, iron, plaster and blown glass.
