
Excerpt from 1982 Annual Report Category two shows in similar fashion the appropriations for Public Works. Most of the offsetting revenues here come from State Highway support funds. Category three lumps together all appropriations for protective services by police and fire departments, district courts and ambulance. The offset revenues here represent return of court revenues and parking fines and permits. Category four represents all those appropriations and offsets per taining to the management of the town offices and town committees. The bulk of the offsetting revenues come from resident taxes, licenses and fees. In Category five, we Show the insurance obligation of the Town, most of which is either required by federal and state regulations or by union contract negotiations.
