Author Description

Artist Beatriz González (b. Bucaramanga, 1938) is one of Colombia's most influential artists. Reiteraciones (1981-2015) [Reiterations (1981-2015)], is her most recent solo exhibition. By employing techniques of mass reproduction, González gathers a body of work in which the fleeting images of the press are transformed into drawings and paintings, some of which, are also used for the creation of striking wallpapers and friezes. "Casas Riegner "La Oficina del Doctor" is a conceptual and physical space entirely dedicated to books. Catalogues, artist books, special editions such as lithographs or posters and artworks inspired in books, while sometimes exhibit an artist project soon to become a book, recreates through publications an exhibition taking place elsewhere, and organize lectures or book launches"-Publisher web page.
