Author Description

The conference theme 'Engineers: developing a better world' has been chosen to enable the profession in Australia to review the role of the engineer in improving the lot of people in all countries, whether emerging or developed. This review requires an awareness of global needs, an awareness of the part already being played by Australian engineers in overseas development and, in particular, an awareness of the way in which our activities influence the world in which we live.
