Catalog to accompany an exhibition at the Detroit Institute of Art from July 13 - September 14, 1980. This exhibition and catalog are a history of an art scene that developed in an area of Detroit called the Cass Corridor. The essays demonstrate the artists, poets, writers, and musicians who congregated there from the mid-1960s created Detroit's first true avant-garde.
