Celebrated for his large-scale sculptures of everyday objects covered in man-made fur, Eric Bainbridge has spent the past three decades investigating a variety of materials and concerns. This major solo exhibition combines selected pieces from the 1970s to the present and a unique collection of works on paper. Together they allow a closer look at an artist who has continued to play an influential role in contemporary sculpture. Drawing has always been at the centre of Eric Bainbridge?s artistic practice. A selection of forty framed works provide the viewer with an insight into the early stages of some of his signature sculptures while at the same time revealing some of their psychological underpinnings.
