Myron Lechay (1898-1972), was born in Kiev, Russia, and immigrated to New York as a child, created landscapes and city views characterized by delicate colorism and graceful abstract designs. His works have been compared to those his friend, Stuart Davis produced in the 1920's, as well as to the paintings Milton Avery rendered in the 1940's. A four-page brochure with an essay by Lewis Kachur and a chronology of the artist's life and career, as well as fifteen separate color plates are included in this catalogue.
