In this Instructor's Manual, we share a number of our teaching experiences with you in a manner that we hope can at least begin to approximate those great conversations that often occur in the halls of academic institutions right after a few people have taught a class -- whether the class went well or was a disaster. We try to be honest about how our students have responded to each of the texts in this book. We also offer a variety of strategies for teaching these texts, drawing on our experiences with different kinds of students in various institutions.
