The activity cards offer easy-to-implement and engaging activities, featuring age-appropriate inquiry strategies, and map, globe, and graphing skills. Encourgage purposeful talk and offer opportunities for students to respond to their learning through writing, creating, and role-playing, while supporting and extending the skills they have learned through the Living and working in Ontario student book. The activity cards are designed to be used individually, in pairs, or in small groups, so students can collaborate to complete the activities on the back of each card. Activity cards provide additional content in the form of short texts and visuals. Many of the cards are primarily visual in nature, featuring photos maps, graphic organizers, or other visual information to support the grade 3 reader.--Nelson Education Ltd.
