
Rajiv, the Chief Security Officer at Karma Hotel receives a call from Mayank, the CBI Director.<br/><br/>Two Agents hand him a note and ask him to accompany them to the CBI’s mobile command centre. They have been instructed to take him forcefully if needed.<br/>At the mobile command centre, Mayank explains him the story behind Rajiv’s summoning. The command centre is now liaising with such centres of other law enforcement agencies.<br/><br/>Rajiv and Mayank’s relationship goes a long way back. They graduated at the same time from the academy, but a double murder of the Desai’s who were close to the Indian government went unsolved and became personal and Rajiv left the force while Mayank went through the ranks and become the CBI Director. He hesitantly recruits Rajiv, essentially a civilian at the behest of the Prime Minister, their former boss and training officer.<br/>Mayank then tells him that the Prime Minister had summoned him. Rajiv and Mayank meet with the PM and there is awkwardness between Rajiv and PM Kanika Pandey. The PM persuades him to be a civilian consultant and help him crack the case of her adopted parents. He agrees on the condition that he will be given the highest level access to the case files and his investigation will be immune to red tapism. A deal is reached upon.<br/>Mayank and Rajiv set up base at the Karma where they come in contact with Rajiv’s employer Keshav Lal, the CEO of Karma Hotel. Rajiv then recounts that how he and Keshav had a past of their own and how he as a Police Officer had helped him with the construction of his hotel so Keshav then owed him and made him the CSO after his retirement.<br/>Their son Vivek is not pleased to see them. Vivek blames Rajiv for his mother’s death who died in an hit and run as her case was cast aside after the CBI decided to pursue the Desai Murder.
