Author Description

Gathered in this book are several texts written by specialists of the image: philosophers of art, historians and art, photography and cinema historians, motivated by the interest in recent years towards the analysis of the photographic or film image in its different forms and styles (fixed or mobile camera) as a source of first-hand documentary. The series of essays were analyzed and discussed in the framework of the inter-institutional seminar "La Mirada Documental" held simultaneously in the Dirección de Estudios Históricos of INAH, the Instituto Mora and the Instituto de Investigaciones Estéticas of UNAM (Mexico City).
