Excerpt from Journeying With Methodist Women, 1966 to 1986 We are deeply grateful to one of our Task Force members, Mrs. Louise Wright, who again agreed to serve as the editor of our History. Faithful and diligent in searching for facts, she then recorded them in a way easily read and understood. Without her knowledge or consent, Task Force members dedicate this book to her. She deserves it! For without her commitment, this book may not have been written. Every effort has been made to be accurate and as inclusive as possible. Errors have probably been made but know they were not of the heart. Our only regret is that due to space and funds, we could not add enough pages to tell the stories of the resident bishops who have shared so graciously with us; the district superintendents and the local pastors who undergird our efforts; all the conference and district officers who share their time, energy and resources to give leadership and last, but certainly not least, the local woman who in living out our purpose are the real authors of this book. We salute and thank all those who today are known and praised by one common name, united methodist women.
