Early history of Oral Roberts University began with Oral Roberts being healed of TB at age 17 in 1935, and the Lord telling him to someday build a Christian university. 1937 his ministry began in churchs...tents...crusades. Many years later with help from Partners and a team of advisers, business men and women, professionals, professors, etc., ORU was established, built and ready for students in September 1965. Thankfully some of ORU's amazing early history is documented by eye-witnesses in testimonies, Stories and Tributes so it does not vanish in the sands-of-time.
