"With the exception of the first issue, Joost Baljeu published and edited "Structure" with Eli Bornstein. He used the magazine to situate his ideas in relation to other contemporary movements and artists' cooperatives and to secure a foothold for himself in the international art world. The first five chapters are a chronological account of the period prior to the founding of "Structure". The last four chapters centre on the art theoretical debate conducted in the journal and on its national and international reception" - introduction.
