This book tells the history of the West Point Class of 1961. The West Point Class of 1961 deserves a book that tells the story of the class over the past sixty plus years. These classmates have a long list of accomplishments, and some members of the class are recognized internationally. We are surrounded by digital media: TikTok, Facebook, and many others are used daily but lack permanence and the communications are often lost instantly. What is needed is a written record of this class, and this book, published and available to all, provides that permanent record. Some of members of the West Point Class of 1961 have published books and others have written articles. These are included in the bibliography and excerpts are included in this history. The focus of the book is on Vietnam because nearly all members of the Class of 1961 who were on active duty at that time served there, but they served in other conflicts in the Cold War and beyond. These are also described.
