A photographic history of the twenty-two years of excavation at Salamis, featuring the workers, excavators, the methods and instruments employed, problems encountered and the environment and conditions under which work took place. The text, accompanied by black and white photographs taken by Karageorghis himself and his colleagues, is divided between the city-site, gymnasium, theatre and necropolis. A personal archive and a tribute to the site and all that it has revealed.
