Author Description

This six-minute piece was originally published in Latvian as 'Tals cels'. The text by poet Pauline Barda, here translated by Elaine Singley Lloyd, is set for double choir of SSAATTBB and SATB plus ocarinas, triangles, and small bells. <p>A wonderfully atmospheric piece, as fulfilling to listen to as it is to perform. Long Road received its English language premiere by the Choir of Trinity College, Cambridge under their conductor Stephen Layton.
